Selected work

A federal agency's first AI product

Problem

Document retrieval took analysts 15+ minutes per lookup, and the client had never put an AI product in front of its users.

Approach

I served as delivery owner and lead tech strategist for a greenfield RAG application on AWS Bedrock and OpenSearch. I defined the technical approach, refined retrieval architecture, and integration approach across data engineering, infrastructure, security, and application teams, then ran 9 production deployments in 6 months while iterating on user feedback.

Result

0 to 16,000 users in 6 months. Research cycle times down 93%, an estimated 1,000+ hours saved a year. The work earned a follow-on contract to expand into new use cases and business units, with a roadmap to 40,000 users.

Solution Incubator: from customer problem to working software

Problem

Account teams had no repeatable path from a customer problem to a solution they could demonstrate.

Approach

In 2026 I was a founding member of a solution architecture team of 5 to 10 dedicated engineers plus specialists as needed. We take each use case from intake through architecture, working proof of concept, demo, and funded business case, and we build with the customer's stack in mind rather than a house platform: ServiceNow, custom AI products, agentic workflows in n8n, and Databricks data mesh.

Result

20+ use cases identified across 8 account teams. Multi-million dollar qualified pipeline, and influence on recompetes for programs valued at $150M+, differentiated by showing working software instead of slides.

An enterprise platform 65,000 people rely on

Problem

A ServiceNow environment on AWS GovCloud runs the Employee Portal, HR processing, and new hire onboarding for 65,000+ users and 300,000+ HR transactions a year. It has to keep shipping without disrupting any of them.

Approach

I owned implementation and ongoing platform health: APIs, integrations, and infrastructure dependencies coordinated through 2-week sprints. I redesigned intake, prioritization, and deployment practices, and ran proactive health monitoring that surfaced and resolved 20+ portfolio risks a year through early escalation.

Result

An HR platform built around ServiceNow HRSD: a custom service portal, batch record initiation, SSO sign-in, source record and data integration, and microservices for capabilities ServiceNow does not ship natively. Over seven years, it carried 150+ releases with fewer than 10 critical defects, and automated new hire onboarding components replaced paper processes entirely for $90,000 a year in documented savings.

How I Lead

Prove it with working software

I would rather show a customer a working prototype than a slide. It shortens the path from idea to decision.

Proof: Solution Incubator intaking 20+ use cases across 8 account teams and building working prototypes instead of slides and wireframes.

Surface risk early

I monitor delivery health continuously and escalate while problems are still small.

Proof: 20+ portfolio risks surfaced and resolved each year.

Translate between engineers and executives

I turn technical constraints into roadmaps and trade-offs that both sides can commit to.

Proof: 9 production deployments in 6 months on a client's first AI product.

Build teams that own outcomes

I hire, coach, and retain engineers, architects, and technical leads, and I teach them to frame technical options against business outcomes.

Proof: A 50 to 75 person organization across infrastructure, app dev, and cybersecurity.

Manager, AI and Enterprise Platform Delivery

AnalystConsultantSenior ConsultantManager

I own end-to-end technical delivery for programs at a 65,000-user federal agency: highlighted by a greenfield AI product and a large-scale enterprise platform. I lead complex teams (experience of up to 75) of engineers, architects, and technical leads across infrastructure, application development, and cybersecurity, and I personally take on the most complex workstreams.
